Ideas for next year: Chambord balls recipe from Jennifer and Stephen; ginger cookies; Irish shortbread toffee bars (got some in MetaFilter cookie swap); truffles? Start early and possibly mail cookies to make Christmas season start more than a week before Christmas.

Made: No-Bake Rum Balls (2x), Fruitcake Muffins (2x), chewy vegan molasses cookies (not at all chewy, more like snaps), Russian Tea Cakes (2x) Ordered: Bollo's peanut butter cookies (24), sugar cookies (24) that turned out a lot more like sweet shortbread
