Gluvine

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle (750 mL) dry red wine
  • ½ c. water
  • ½ c. sugar
  • 2 3-4 inch cinnamon sticks
  • ¼ tsp. cloves
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • ¼ lemon, sliced

Directions

  • In a large saucepan, boil the water.
  • Add everything but the wine. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Reduce heat, add wine, and heat to taste (do not boil).

Notes

  • Gluvine is also known as "mulled wine".
