Ingredients
- ½ gal. milk
- 1 ½ c. sugar
- 1 T. cornstarch
- 8 eggs, seperated
- 1 ½ T. vanilla
- ½ t. lemon juice
Directions
- In a pan, mix the milk, sugar, and cornstarch. Add the egg yolks one at a time and mix.
- Cook over medium-low heat until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Add the vanilla and lemon juice. Mix.
- Beat the egg whites in a separate bowl and stir into the mixture.
- Serve cold. Keep refrigerated.
