Yield: ???
Rating: Untested 4 of 5 - good, fairly involved
Ingredients
For peanut butter centers:
- 1 c. margarine
- 12 oz. peanut butter
- 1 box confectioners sugar (???)
- 1 t. vanilla
For chocolate coating:
- ½ block of paraffin wax
- 1 large package of chocolate chips
Directions
- Melt the margarine and blend it with the peanut butter.
- Add the confectioners sugar and vanilla and blend by hand.
- Form into rolls about ¾ inch in diameter. Place on wax paper and refrigerate for 30 minutes or until firm.
- In a double boiler, melt the paraffin. Add the chocolate chips and stir until melted. Turn down the heat but keep the chocolate warm so that it will stay liquefied.
- Once the rolls have become firm, remove a piece of the roll from the refrigerator and cut it into ¾ inch lengths. (It is easier to work with a handful of pieces at a time, leaving the rest in the refrigerator.)
- Use a toothpick to pick up a piece and dip it in the chocolate until covered. Place the chocolate-covered candy on wax paper or in individual candy cups to cool.
Notes
- If the peanut butter is thin, cut down on the margarine.
- For a 16 oz. jar of peanut butter, increase the ingredients to 2 1/3 c. margarine, 1 1/3 box confectioners sugar, and 1 1/3 t. vanilla
