Rating: 3 of 5 - simple
Ingredients
- 5 c. shredded apples
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 T. flour
- 1 ½ t. cinnamon
- ¾ t. nutmeg
- 1 egg
- 6 T. melted butter
- unbaked pie shell
Directions
- Mix together cooled butter and slightly beaten egg. Pour over apples and set aside.
- Blend dry ingredients together and sprinkle over the apple mixture until coated.
- Pour into the pie shell and bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees F.
Notes

- If using apples with little flavor, the spices and sugar are overpowering. Use fewer spices and sugar, or stronger apples.
