Ingredients
- 1 ¼ cups instant (or quick-cooking) oats
- 6 Tbsp. honey
- ¼ cup toasted wheat germ
- ¼ cup whole wheat flour
- ¼ tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. cinnamon (optional)
- ½ tsp. vanilla extract (optional)
- ¼ - ½ cup raisins or other dried fruit (optional)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
- Mix dry ingredients together. Add wet ingredients (honey, vanilla) and stir until mixture is an even, crumbly consistency.
- Spray an 8-inch square pan with non-stick cooking spray.
- Gently press the mixture into the pan with the back of a spoon.
- Cook 18-20 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Cool to room temperature and cut.

Notes
- The granola bars will be somewhat soft the first day. Store them in an air-tight container for a day and they will become properly crunchy.
