Ingredients

  • 2 ½ Tbsp. chili powder
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 Tbsp. virgin olive oil
  • 1 12-ounce can of tomato sauce

Directions

  1. Combine all dry ingredients in a small bowl.
  2. Stirring constantly, slowly add enough of the water to make a thin paste.
  3. Pour into pan and add the oil and the rest of the water.
  4. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.
  5. Stir in tomato sauce.

Notes

  • You can use mild or hot chili powder; we prefer mild.
