Ingredients
Wet part:
- ½ c. warm (not hot) water, about 120 degrees F
- 1 T. olive oil
- 1 T. honey
- 1 pkg. fast-acting (quick-rise) yeast
Dry part:
- ¾ c. bread flour
- ¾ c. all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp. salt
- ½ tsp. garlic powder
- ½ tsp. onion powder
Directions
Wet part:
- Combine water, oil, honey, and yeast in a small bowl. Let sit for five minutes, following the directions below as you wait.
Dry part:
- Sift together flours, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Add the yeast solution, mixing into a doughy ball. Knead.
- Punch down dough and divide in half.
- On a well-floured surface, roll out dough to desired thickness.
- Place in lightly-greased pizza pan. Pinch or roll up the edge of the crust, if desired.
- Let sit ten or fifteen minutes to rise.
- Top with sauce, cheese, and toppings.
- Cook for 450 degrees F to 10 to 12 minutes, or until just beginning to brown.
- Remove from heat and let stand at least five minutes before slicing.
